The story of 16th-century British women who are all married to the same men is told through the medium of a music competition. While addressing female marital issues and their reality, this musical gives America Idol and The Voice vibes. "Six," the flash upbeat emotional pop musical showcases retelling the story of King Henry VIII’s six ex-wives.

In SIX, the six wives of Henry VIII reunite as a 21st-century supergirl group. The Six is a British musical comedy created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss in their final exam at university. The idea of writing SIX in the first place came from Moss and Marlow's sense that there simply weren't enough substantive roles for women. “We had loads of women and non-binary friends who never got the good parts,” Moss explains. “Women have emotional ballads; the guys have big character songs,” Marlow says, according to Vouge. A singing competition presents the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII as a modern retelling.

Throughout Moss and Marlow's 80-minute musical, there is structure and a predictable element to tell their individual stories. The performance has a cast with bring-the-roof-down kind vocal abilities. Throughout the show, there wasn't much musical theatre. It was a concert with spoken word dialogue. The music numbers are catchy pop music with each verse having its own solo. Flashing lights and changes in colour were used in the set production designs for a concert.

“Six” is a pop anthem and a worthy ballad coming from the performer. During each fierce anthem, a former wife expresses what happened to her in order to determine who had it worse. It's a story about how they lost their heads. There was a sense of a concert by six Broadway stars in the choreography. The open members and original music were so rememberable.

The musical left an impression on me. The original musical is adapted to live in the 21st century. Everyone has a story to tell, and it's told from their perspective. All the Boardway stars had their time to shine and uplift their co-stars' performances. Although the dialogue wasn't big, it conveyed the message. Its concert-style structure makes it an accurate portrayal of the work of the six wives. The dialogue are used to set up the next numbers showing the characters backstory. The character showdown was used effectively.

The Six is entertaining storytelling with a modern twist. It's a concert for everyone to enjoy with funny banter for the audience to enjoy. The Six are flashy in all the right ways. I'm a big fan of the Six. As a woman, I enjoyed the performance and the message even more. You shouldn't compete with other women and everyone's story is valid.

‘Six’ Review: Here's what happened when Henry VIII's six ex-wives started telling their side of history

Private Screening Guidelines

It's so easy to host a movie night with the right supplies, and movies can transform a whole atmosphere. Movie nights are cheaper than spending money in a movie theatre. It's the best thing ever to watch a movie privately. Streaming services like Netflix, Disney Plus, Prime and so many more have made life easier by giving consumers the latest movies at home.

During your at-home movie night, you can talk as long as you want and take a break when needed. Movie night can be so much fun when they are at home. Setting the right mood is an essential part of movie night. Pick your favorite movie because you will spend almost two hours watching it. Finding a movie you want to see or enjoy watching can be like long strolls on television. Make sure you have a movie selected in advance so you're ready to go.

Movie nights require food and a menu. There is no such thing as a wrong food when it comes to food. The kind of girl I am is a popcorn girl, and I am also a dinner girl. I usually make sweet and salty popcorn or melted brown sugar. There’s nothing wrong with having a meal as well. During movie night, you can eat pizza, subway, McDonald's, or any other food you like.

Movie night begins with a setup in your living room or bedroom. Prepare your DVD or streaming service, make all your food, and then it's time to sit down and enjoy a fun and spontaneous movie night. Having some good food and watching a movie are the best combinations.

Lessons in Therapy

My personal experience and everything I learned in therapy from June to March. Therapy is a process with a person you can trust. As a black woman, I had the privilege of having a black therapist. The benefit of seeing a black therapist is that we can talk about issues that are important to black people. Having someone who gets it makes the experience better. As a result of leaving therapy, I'm in a good place and working toward my life goals.

Bree-Ann's Therapy Notes

Learn to process your feelings

Sort your anxieties into fiction and non-fiction.

Talk to yourself like you are your own BFF.

It's okay to let go of past mistakes, drama, people and dreams

Moving on is a gift for yourself

Use logical for your reasoning

Dont be  against therapy

Work on your mindset

Build up your self-worth

Say no

Believe in yourself

Be your number-one cheerleader

Create a support system

Create self-smoothing techniques

Set boundaries in your personal life

Don't let other people's opinions hold you down

Your life is good but focus on what's important to you

You can be yourself no matter what’s happening around you.

Healing is messy and takes time.

Feel your grief so that you can also feel happiness.

You can keep moving forward regardless of the path you take.

Let your feelings guide you

Focus on small wins

Think about how your past experiences impact your behaviour right now.

My perspective on life has changed as a result of therapy. The self-discovery process I went through before starting therapy was very helpful to me. I was open to receiving therapy after one session. Therapy is a form of treatment aimed at relieving emotional distress and mental health problems according to Psychology Today. Many cultures are against therapy, and some cultures do not want to participate in therapy. Therapy is an opportunity for growth and understanding. Therapy gets people to consider doing things differently to get better results.

It is beneficial to talk to someone who isn't in your daily life. Having a conversation without judgment about what you are experiencing. To speak with your therapist, you have to feel comfortable. Opening up to someone isn't easy but the relief of getting things off your chest feels better. Talking or ranting to someone can lead to breakthroughs. People can't see all the problems they have but having someone who can see your problems from a different perspective can help. Therapists are educated and give you advice or tips for your benefit.

You may be able to work on aspects of your life as a result of your therapy session. My experience was positive and enlightening. Therapy got me out of my head and into the real world. I have a hard time working in a toxic workplace environment. I have self-sabotaged myself throughout the year. I like talking to my therapist and it gives me motivation to take control. Do I get thirsty during therapy sessions? Do I find therapy draining? A one-hour session gives me time to work on my life. Over the course of our conversation, I have discussed so many things in my life, including working a toxic job, getting a new job, family, my personality, mental health, self-care, social life and being laid off. I'm officially done with therapy because it got cut. A new therapist is something I see myself getting in the future. Right now, I'm living my life and building my life and also living my life.

I don't have therapy anymore. I lost access to therapy. As a single individual, I must figure this out on my own. In the aftermath of therapy sessions, it's motivation for living your best life. It has given me a greater understanding of myself, my reality, past trauma, and living my life under my current circumstances. I like working out by talking. There will be a void in my life when I no longer have someone who listens to me and gives me positive feedback. The impact of therapy on my mindset and life perspective has been profound. I built an unbreakable foundation and I'm ready to make my life a reality. It would be amazing to go back to therapy in the next ten years. I believe in therapy and would love to do it again. Taking part in therapy allows me to process my feelings. I enjoy having someone listen to me when they talk. My life after therapy is going to be good and I use tools in every aspect of my life.

Welcome to The Tortured Poets Department.

My name is Bree-Ann Gittens and I'm author of this tortured Poets Department. A place for all taking lessons in reflect through personal journeys and the love of Taylor Swift.

This period of the author’s life is now over, the chapter is closed and boarded up. There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed. And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted. This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it written by Taylor Swift.

The Tortured Poets Department feels like a real place and we are all authors of our own stories. The Tortured Poets Department by Taylor Swift got me in my feelings. The time has come for you to get personal with your personal life. We're going to take a deep dive into our private lives. Swift shares her experiences in every lyric and her heart with her listeners. During her private personal journey two years ago, she wrote this music. There is inspiration in her words and the mood and vibe of album. Our lives have their own Tortured Poets Department. Being a woman with a personal life isn't easy. All of us have experienced some form of torture in our lives. It can come from growing up, relationships, school, work, mental health, being stuck in everyday life, social media, adulthood and losing someone. Growing up and experiencing things sometimes involves The Tortured Poets Department. All of us have been tortured poets at some point or another in our lives. Tortured poets who have written or spoken their truth have been healed. Taylor Swift confirmed she's healed from her past experiences. The past two years have passed and now you have your own life. You are a poet in your life and the department is personal to you.

Taking notes from The Tortured Poets Department

Call out people from your past

Use your voice to express how you feel

Move on from a boy that hurt you in the past

Growing up is a process

People are going talk about you

We all look through people's window

Losing yourself through the cracks

Letting go of the relationship turmoil

Reflecting on a painful personal moment

 Refine maturity

 Convincing yourself to reject others

Boys do threw up things

Good days do not make futures

Your life can be an artic

So long to an experience that is over

The results can be heartbreaking

People are not who they say they are

I did love or like you but it is done now

We all know a few men who are the smallest men who ever lived

Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me doesn't matter

The truth is "I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)

The question is How Did It End?

We know their Guilty as Sin.

I Can Live With a Broken Hear

It's so okay to take a trip back to high school with some nostalgia

BROADWAY FIRST TIMER

In my first-ever matinee theatre experience, I saw a Broadway show. Walking upstairs to get my program booklet and sitting in my seat was so much fun. During my visit to the Royal Alexandra Theatre in downtown Toronto, my mother and I saw Six the Musical. In my opinion, experience is more valuable than materialism. The bright lights and pop music made you want to join in on the preference. Seeing my first female play was the best experience of my life. 500 Years of Historical Heartbreak and 21st Century Girl Power were effectively portrayed. I loved the music and the vibe was out of this world.

"Six" is a British pop musical written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss in their final year at Cambridge University. The play has a modern and fresh take on being a woman who has hush and common. A singing competition tells the story of Henry VIII's six wives in a contemporary comedy style. In the end, a woman stops competing with each other and lives the truth their way. It's a powerful statement that women can come together. There is nothing better than a musical for women. It's original at its finest. Everyone had a solo and that made me happy.

START SLOW
When you start walking you begin at a pace that you are comfortable with. Your distance should be at a pace that works for you. Your speed needs to be just right not overdoing it.

SET CLEAR GOALS
The average number of steps per day is 10,000. Finding a balance between numbers is achievable and works in everyday life. Your goals should motivate you. Celebrate all your milestones.

CREATE A PLAYLIST AND FIND YOUR PODCAST
Music or podcasts make walking the best experience ever. Grab your wireless headphones put on your favourite music or podcast and lose yourself. The music and podcasts you listen to on your journey make it so much fun and keep you motivated.

FIND YOUR WALKING PATHS
The location of where you walk is important, so choose one you are comfortable with. Let yourself enjoy nature and the sounds that make the experience so enriching. Have your phone charged and tell someone where you're going.

STAY CONSISTENT
Consistently walk until your schedule becomes a habit. Plan a hot girl walking experience or make walking a daily activity.
