NEW TRAIL BEGINS

A fresh start in February is a perfect way to refocus and realign your goals.

February is the second month of the year, which is the time when things really start to pick up. January is a month for failure, but February is a month for success. You won't achieve your goals starting in January. Experimenting in January will help you find what you are looking for while on a journey of self-discovery. We are halfway through the decade and our goals are still a work process. Our trial is over. It's time to get serious about your intentions for this year starting in February. Create a list of what you want to complete this year in January and start living in February.

NOTE TO SELF: February is the perfect month to start with grace and intention!

1. Reflect and Reassess

Review your January: What went well? What didn’t?

Revisit your goals. Adjust them to be more realistic or break them into smaller steps.

Let go of any guilt or pressure to be perfect—start fresh.

2. Set Simple, Focused Goals

Pick 1-3 priorities for the month (e.g., health, finances, personal growth).

Use themes like “self-care February” or “focus February” to create motivation.

Write down specific, actionable steps for each goal.

3. Create a Weekly Plan

Schedule time for your priorities: meal prep, exercise, self-care, or work tasks.

Use a planner, app, or simple checklist to stay organized.

• Include downtime to recharge and avoid burnout.

4. Declutter Your Space and Mind

Tidy up your home: clean your desk, wardrobe, or living area.

Declutter mentally: journal, meditate, or talk through lingering stress.

5. Prioritize Wellness

Focus on small, sustainable habits like drinking more water, stretching daily, or eating balanced meals.

Start or restart an exercise routine, even if it’s just 10 minutes a day.

Commit to better sleep hygiene: consistent bedtime, no screens before bed, etc.

6. Reignite Your Hobbies

Dive back into an activity you love or try something new.

Create time for joy to balance your work and personal life.

7. Reassess Finances

Review January spending and adjust your February budget.

Plan no-spend days or focus on saving for one specific goal.

8. Embrace Self-Compassion

Celebrate small wins every week.

Avoid comparison to others—your journey is yours alone.

9. Reconnect with Your Vision

Create a vision board or revisit your existing one for inspiration.

Write a short journal entry describing the life you want to create this month.
