Private Screening Guidelines

It's so easy to host a movie night with the right supplies, and movies can transform a whole atmosphere. Movie nights are cheaper than spending money in a movie theatre. It's the best thing ever to watch a movie privately. Streaming services like Netflix, Disney Plus, Prime and so many more have made life easier by giving consumers the latest movies at home.

During your at-home movie night, you can talk as long as you want and take a break when needed. Movie night can be so much fun when they are at home. Setting the right mood is an essential part of movie night. Pick your favorite movie because you will spend almost two hours watching it. Finding a movie you want to see or enjoy watching can be like long strolls on television. Make sure you have a movie selected in advance so you're ready to go.

Movie nights require food and a menu. There is no such thing as a wrong food when it comes to food. The kind of girl I am is a popcorn girl, and I am also a dinner girl. I usually make sweet and salty popcorn or melted brown sugar. There’s nothing wrong with having a meal as well. During movie night, you can eat pizza, subway, McDonald's, or any other food you like.

Movie night begins with a setup in your living room or bedroom. Prepare your DVD or streaming service, make all your food, and then it's time to sit down and enjoy a fun and spontaneous movie night. Having some good food and watching a movie are the best combinations.

Lessons in Therapy

My personal experience and everything I learned in therapy from June to March. Therapy is a process with a person you can trust. As a black woman, I had the privilege of having a black therapist. The benefit of seeing a black therapist is that we can talk about issues that are important to black people. Having someone who gets it makes the experience better. As a result of leaving therapy, I'm in a good place and working toward my life goals.

Bree-Ann's Therapy Notes

Learn to process your feelings

Sort your anxieties into fiction and non-fiction.

Talk to yourself like you are your own BFF.

It's okay to let go of past mistakes, drama, people and dreams

Moving on is a gift for yourself

Use logical for your reasoning

Dont be  against therapy

Work on your mindset

Build up your self-worth

Say no

Believe in yourself

Be your number-one cheerleader

Create a support system

Create self-smoothing techniques

Set boundaries in your personal life

Don't let other people's opinions hold you down

Your life is good but focus on what's important to you

You can be yourself no matter what’s happening around you.

Healing is messy and takes time.

Feel your grief so that you can also feel happiness.

You can keep moving forward regardless of the path you take.

Let your feelings guide you

Focus on small wins

Think about how your past experiences impact your behaviour right now.

My perspective on life has changed as a result of therapy. The self-discovery process I went through before starting therapy was very helpful to me. I was open to receiving therapy after one session. Therapy is a form of treatment aimed at relieving emotional distress and mental health problems according to Psychology Today. Many cultures are against therapy, and some cultures do not want to participate in therapy. Therapy is an opportunity for growth and understanding. Therapy gets people to consider doing things differently to get better results.

It is beneficial to talk to someone who isn't in your daily life. Having a conversation without judgment about what you are experiencing. To speak with your therapist, you have to feel comfortable. Opening up to someone isn't easy but the relief of getting things off your chest feels better. Talking or ranting to someone can lead to breakthroughs. People can't see all the problems they have but having someone who can see your problems from a different perspective can help. Therapists are educated and give you advice or tips for your benefit.

You may be able to work on aspects of your life as a result of your therapy session. My experience was positive and enlightening. Therapy got me out of my head and into the real world. I have a hard time working in a toxic workplace environment. I have self-sabotaged myself throughout the year. I like talking to my therapist and it gives me motivation to take control. Do I get thirsty during therapy sessions? Do I find therapy draining? A one-hour session gives me time to work on my life. Over the course of our conversation, I have discussed so many things in my life, including working a toxic job, getting a new job, family, my personality, mental health, self-care, social life and being laid off. I'm officially done with therapy because it got cut. A new therapist is something I see myself getting in the future. Right now, I'm living my life and building my life and also living my life.

I don't have therapy anymore. I lost access to therapy. As a single individual, I must figure this out on my own. In the aftermath of therapy sessions, it's motivation for living your best life. It has given me a greater understanding of myself, my reality, past trauma, and living my life under my current circumstances. I like working out by talking. There will be a void in my life when I no longer have someone who listens to me and gives me positive feedback. The impact of therapy on my mindset and life perspective has been profound. I built an unbreakable foundation and I'm ready to make my life a reality. It would be amazing to go back to therapy in the next ten years. I believe in therapy and would love to do it again. Taking part in therapy allows me to process my feelings. I enjoy having someone listen to me when they talk. My life after therapy is going to be good and I use tools in every aspect of my life.
